Richard Meyer started Meyer Civil Engineering, Inc. on March 13, 2003. Aaron Meyer came aboard July 7, 2003, becoming a partner of the firm in 2004 after earning his Civil Engineer license.
We've had a lot of fun through the great times, rode out the tough times and have definitely been grateful for our employees who have worked hard and helped contribute to our success.
We are also definitely grateful for and thank our clients who've entrusted us with providing practical solutions to their engineering needs.
We look forward to serving our clients and community for many more years and facing the civil engineering challenges which are thrown our way!
At Meyer Civil Engineering, Inc. in Bakersfield, CA, we are dedicated to providing high quality civil engineering services to public agencies, municipalities, water districts, other engineering firms and private entities.
In keeping with the philosophy of the company to provide high quality civil engineering to its clients, it is the opinion of MCE's president that having the principals involved in the detailed design of the project is essential. It is also the opinion of the president that this can best be accomplished by remaining small in size. Therefore, the company's goals are to grow on a limited basis and develop a highly skilled team of not more than seven to eight civil engineers.
In 2007, the City of Bakersfield awarded Meyer Civil Engineering with a contract to design the Mill Creek Linear Park Project which started with revitalizing Central Park and improving the Kern Island Canal running through the park. The park and canal construction, which included the iconic Mill Creek Bridge, began in December of 2007.
Meyer Civil Engineering was subsequently awarded contracts to design the remainder of the project - 1.5 miles of park and canal improvements from 24th Street to California Avenue.
Meyer Civil Engineering was also contracted to design the Mill House at 17th Street and the Sister Cities Gardens at 18th Street along the linear park.
Our office is located north of Rosedale Hwy., west of Coffee Rd. to the north of the Northwest Promenade.
