Senior Management

Meyer Civil Engineering, Inc. is owned and operated by the father and son partnership of Richard Meyer and Aaron Meyer.  We enjoy being involved in all phases of civil engineering.  From surveying to engineering to assistance during construction, we remain dedicated to our clients in order to ensure that they receive a good finished product.

Richard Meyer, President

Richard Meyer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fresno in 1975.  Richard graduated Summa Cum Laude.  He began his engineering career with a small water resource engineering firm local to the City of Bakersfield.  Richard later became a principal in this firm after his state registration in 1977.  After 12 total years of service with Ricks, Taylor, & Meyer, Inc., he reluctantly left due to a downturn in the water resource engineering market.  Mr. Meyer then accepted a position with a prominent Bakersfield firm, McIntosh & Associates, and developed a new residential and commercial development department.  Richard achieved the position of Director of Civil Engineering with this firm.  After over 15 years of service to McIntosh & Associates, Mr. Meyer decided to start Meyer Civil Engineering, Inc. in March of 2003.  Mr. Meyer takes great pride in the work of his firm and has established excellent professional relationships with many local agencies and private companies.

Aaron Meyer, Executive Vice President

Aaron Meyer received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from California State University, Fresno in 2001.  Aaron's emphasized study was in water resource engineering.  He began his engineering career with McIntosh & Associates, a prominent engineering firm local to Bakersfield.  Aaron joined his fathers design team at this firm where he had an opportunity to work under the direction of several licensed engineers and surveyors.  He continued his work at McIntosh & Associates until July, 2003 when his father, Richard, invited him to join in his new firm.  Since that time, Aaron has made major contribution to the success of Meyer Civil Engineering, Inc.  He has developed his own special skills complementary to his father's.  These include specialized hydraulic analysis, traffic engineering, surveying, structural analysis, and current building code disciplines.  Aaron became a registered civil engineer in June, 2004 and a licensed professional land surveyor in December, 2013 and has demonstrated deep professionalism as he continues to develop his career.
